  3. LeisureWorld (Bishopstown & Churchfield)

    Probably the busiest spots in Cork. Churchfield has eight 5-a-side pitches, while Bishopstown offers 6-a-side options. Both have great floodlights and changing rooms.

  4. HighField Rugby Club

    Good quality pitches.

  5. The Glen Resource Centre

    A top choice on the Northside with several enclosed pitches that keep the game moving fast.

  1. Cork Over 30s Soccer at Nemo Rangers (Douglas)

    If you are looking to get back into fitness or just want a casual mid week game of soccer, then Cork Over 30s Soccer is the most suitable group in Cork city. A friendly group for players in their 30s and 40s.

    We play 6-a-side or 7-a-side matches every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:00 PM on the all-weather pitches at Nemo Rangers in Douglas.

    – New players are always welcome.
    – All fitness and skill levels are welcome.

  2. The Floodlit League (Munster Senior League Over 35s)

    For those who still want proper 11-a-side competition, this is the main veterans’ league in Cork.

    Venue: Most matches are played at Mayfield United’s all-weather facility (Lotamore).
    Level: Competitive. You’ll be playing against many former League of Ireland and intermediate-level players.
    Format: 11-a-side, played Monday or Tuesday nights under lights.

    How to Join: You need to be registered with a club. Contact the secretaries aMayfield United, Douglas Hall, Rockmount, or Avondale United, as they all field active Over 35 squads.

  3. Cork Business League (CBL)

    Unlike standard junior football, it focuses heavily on workplace wellbeing and local business sponsorship, making it an excellent fit for older players looking for a structured but slightly more accommodating standard of football.

  4. Walking Football: For Recovery & mostly 50+

    If you’re coming back from a long-term injury or sprinting is no longer an option, Walking Football has become a major fixture in Cork. It’s focused on ball retention and tactical play rather than pace.

    Mardyke Arena: Sessions every Friday (check the Cork Sports Partnership for updated times, usually late afternoon).
